Above the Fold Should Build Curiosity

Don’t waste the top of your email with a huge logo or fancy image.
That space is gold. Use it to hook attention.

Try this:

  • Add a short headline that creates curiosity

  • Include a subheading that hints at what’s inside

  • Use a clear CTA that makes people want to scroll or click

Example:
“Back in stock for 12 hours”
“100+ people joined the waitlist. You’re getting first dibs.”

Don’t Design Like a Poster

Email ≠ Instagram ad. Keep it functional. Clean. Easy to read.

Do this instead:

  • Use short blocks of text

  • Stick to 1 or 2 fonts max

  • Use high-contrast colors for buttons (no ghost buttons)

Pro tip:
Your design should guide the eye. Think in sections, headline, benefit, image, CTA.

Test Mobile First, Always

Most people open your emails on their phone.
A beautiful desktop email that breaks on mobile = lost sales.

Quick checks before you send:

  • Is the font size readable?

  • Are buttons big enough to tap?

  • Is spacing consistent?

Use a tool like Figma to preview and plan it properly before you build in Klaviyo.
